Officers Killed While Serving Warrant
Four officers were fatally shot Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina, when a U.S. Marshals task force was serving a warrant at a home, officials said.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. in a suburb of Charlotte, officials said.
Three members of the task force—a U.S. Marshal and two officers from the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction—were killed, and a fourth officer was injured.
The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was also killed.
The investigation is ongoing.
