Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 9 runs in the 4th T20I match played at Gaddafi Stadium. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 167 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan opened the innings for Pakistan, putting on a 50-run partnership. Azam scored 52 runs off 32 balls, while Rizwan scored 34 runs off 30 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed also contributed with a valuable 20-ball 34.
In response, New Zealand could only manage to score 158 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Devon Conway top-scored for New Zealand with a 43-ball 59, while Glenn Phillips scored 34 runs off 24 balls. Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, taking 3 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs. Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz also took two wickets each.
